Fair Trade sugar spoon family time

Family time is more precious these days, as we stretch out our work/life balance. Working unsocial hours like night work, weekend work or working into the evening, takes away from the traditional family and social times.

I some times make little objects my symbol of reminder. Every time I see it, touch it or use it, it reminds me of a value I need to remember.

The little melded swirl on top of the spoon, and twist on the handle feels like it will be a good reminder of being intentional, to take time to be with family and join social gatherings. And it feels good too.

Here's one little start ... chocolate feast!

Use this scoop and recipe  to make some yummy hot chocolate drinks, grate some chocolate on top for an added treat and bake a yummy chocolate to complete the feast!

If you are good at making churros, use the Fairtrade organic Cocoa to make up a rich chocolate sauce.

Maybe on the weekend :)

“ Our tableware is created from only pure copper and its alloys. It is handcrafted, annealed, heated and burnished with care to bring out the beautiful colours from within the metals, ensuring that each piece is truly unique. It is hermetically sealed in a high quality coating to prevent tarnishing and should be washed with care in soap and water.”

Meaning of ‘hermetically sealed’….sealed so no air can touch the metal

Workers feedback - “It’s like a good home, there is respect, team work… we enjoy being there…it supports people to support families; working together brings freedom; want to see copper craft go to another level.”
