a reading bundle...

What we do each day matters - its the essence of who we are!  The small choices we make @home, @work each day either lifts us or pulls us down.

" In our chaotic and crazy lives where being busy is a status symbol, we need to be reminded that peace is a sign of God's presence. Isiah 30:15 clearly says that our salvation is in repentance and rest, and our strength is in quietness and trust. This is in contrast to the constant striving that characterises modern life"  'Workship' by Kara Martin.

The essence of this bundle is to encourage you think about those choices you make, the daily choices...@home and @work  are they reveling the es sense of you?

Is home a place of deeper values than constant 'doing' or is there 'down time' to stop for a chat and catch up on the day. Like -

  • A hot cup of coffee on a sunday morning while chatting in bed
  • A hot coco after school, or a cold sporty day
  • Why you choose fairtrade?
  • Stopping to pray
  • having some personal down time, to refresh your body, mind and soul

While enjoying the coffee, coco and some chocolate, you will enjoy Kara Martins's book ' Workship". Kara's premise is that our work...all of our work...whether paid, volunteer or looking after your home, we do it as worship, because  ' we need hearts, minds and spirits that are open to seeing God's fingerprint in our surroundings and in what is done through us ' in the noise and bustle of everyday life, in all the work we do..........be @home or @work!

For us at Tribes and Nations,we agree with this value;  the way we live life and all we do matters, be it @home or @work, they are opportunities to be salt, light leaven.

You will enjoy ~

    - 1 freshly roasted Fairtrade coffee 250g

    - 1 pack of Fairtrade organic Cocoa, 200g

    - 1 Alter Eco slab of chocolate

    - 1  reusable Fair Trade basket made from sustainable hogla leaf

    - 1 Kara Martin's book 'Workship" , which was shortlisted for the Australian Christian Book of the Year 2017.

Its a hands on book with easy to read, quick chapters and a ‘taking it further’ note. A journal beside it, to jot down encouragements and new thoughts would be very helpful.

A good reading bundle, to enrich and grow yourself, so your essence can shine, in being yourself.

Reading and drinking a piping hot mug of coffee or tea -- what could be cozier?
